Gathering Sky Wins 3 G.A.N.G. Awards

Gathering Sky's G.A.N.G. awards

At the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, the Game Audio Network Guild held their 14th annual awards show, recognizing excellence in game audio. The indie game, Gathering Sky, that I created the music, sound design, implemented and mixed was up for several awards. By the end of the night it had won Best Sound Design in a Casual/Social game (in a category that included Hearthstone and Star Wars Uprising!), it won Best Indie Game Audio (in a category with SOMA, Nova 111 and Broken Age), and the 3 part article that I wrote about the audio development in Gathering Sky (on Gamasutra) won for Best Game Audio Article or Podcast. It was incredible to see the recognition for our little game, and this was a project that I put a lot of love into. I couldn't have done it without the help of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Richard Savery, Karry Walker, all of the musicians and the great team at A Stranger Gravity who supported my vision for the audio.
