Gathering Sky Nominated in 5 Categories!

The 14th annual Game Audio Network Guild Awards take place this March 17th 2016, in San Francisco during the Game Developers Conference. This year, our little, no budget, independent game, Gathering Sky, was nominated for 5 G.A.N.G. Awards (6 including the nomination for best Game Audio Article, for my 3 part Audio Journal article on Gathering Sky).
Gathering Sky is nominated for BEST INTERACTIVE SCORE (along with billion dollar titles like Star Wars Battlefront, Destiny, & Fallout 4), BEST HANDHELD AUDIO, BEST AUDIO FOR AN INDIE GAME, BEST SOUND DESIGN IN A CASUAL/SOCIAL GAME (along with Hearthstone and Star Wars), and BEST MUSIC IN A CASUAL/SOCIAL GAME. You can see all of the Finalists for this year's G.A.N.G. Awards here. It's really quite amazing to have our game sitting alongside these titles as fellow finalists, as they are all amazing sounding games with big budgets and teams. It's also great to see so many of my friends nominated in so many categories. We all work towards making great game experiences, and to see recognition from our peers is icing on the cake for what is already a pretty great job!
